- Preparing reports for every cash register
- Assisting cashiers when necessary
- Resolving issues with point-of-sale (POS) systems in liaison with the VV FAE
- Assist in Menu Planning
- Resolve customer queries
- Handle customer complaints
- Ensure staff are safe
- Maintain hygiene standards
- Ensure a safe work environment
- Assist in venue set ups
- Assist in booking of venues
- Ensure all necessary tools for functions are available
- Supervise of functions/events/internal orders
- Effective communication with colleagues and clients
- Perform ad hoc duties
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in administration and cash handling.
- Diploma/Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6) in Food and Beverage Management, Catering Management and Business Administration.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in the coordination of/working at functions.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
- Knowledge of food preparation in an industrial kitchen.
- Knowledge of handling and cleaning of equipment in a food service unit.
- Knowledge of correct storage of stock.
- The ability to lift heavy items.
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work irregular hours.
- Good organising and planning skills.
- Client service orientated and able to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
REMUNERATION
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
