Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Community engagement.
  • Study guide/ mod development.
  • Support of research entity.
  • Conducting own research.

Minimum requirements

LECTURER 

  • A master’s degree (NQF level 9) in Curriculum Studies.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ teaching experience at school/university level.

JUNIOR LECTURER

  • An honours degree/ a postgraduate diploma (NQF level 8) in Curriculum Studies.
  • A minimum of three (3) year’s teaching experience at school/university level.

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven teaching record at school /University level.
  • Research potential.

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Team player.
  • Good Interpersonal Relations.

REMUNERATION:

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
