The fellowship is available from 1 April 2025 and is yearly renewable for up to 2 years with a tax-free remuneration.
Minimum requirements
- Applicants must have graduated within the last four years with a PhD degree in Poultry Nutritional Sciences, Animal Nutrition, Animal nutritional Biochemistry, or related field, preferably with at least five research articles in reputable journals.
- Experience in the application of multiple omics (genomics , transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and metagenomics) technologies in poultry health and productivity will be a definite advantage.
- Experience in data collection and analysis is essential.
- The expectations for this fellowship are publication productivity, co-supervision of post graduate students, and grant proposal writing.

REMUNERATION:
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
