Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The North-West University is pleased to announce that recruitment for Interns in the specified disciplines of the Higher Education Employment Initiative.
 
The Department of Higher Education and Training seeks to provide 3000 unemployed university graduates an employment and on the job training opportunities in the higher education sector, as part of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI)-Higher Education Employment Initiative (HEEI), which forms part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES). Youth between the ages of 18 and 35, who are currently unemployed, not studying full time, nor receiving any form of a government grant (including NSFAS) and young people living with disability and women, are eligible and encouraged to apply for this enriching experience.
 
Candidates selected for placement will have an opportunity to receive on the job training on various skills that will equip them for future employment opportunities. North-West University has been assigned to make placement of 190 unemployed graduates.
 
To qualify as an internship placement, you must have completed your qualification (Degree or Postgraduate) and provide proof of same. Applicants in a debt repayment agreement for fees owed to the university may also apply. Preference will be given to North-West University Graduates. To work in the university environment, you must have an excellent ability to work with people and within groups, have good communication skills, be a good listener, and be interested in serving the university community.

Minimum requirements

  • Any Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (Theology)

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be between the ages of 18-35
  • Must be a South African Resident
  • Must not be studying full time nor receiving any form of a government grant

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  • Certified Matric Certificate
  • Certified University Qualification, or Confirmation of Completion.
  • Certified Copy of South African Identity Document

A monthly stipend of R5000.00 will be paid to successful candidates.
