JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching and learning
  • Teaching and learning to both under- and post graduate students.
  • Engaged teaching and learning through integration of service learning and work-integrated learning in relevant modules.
  • Facilitation of contact sessions.
  • Internal and external assessment/moderation.
  • Development of study material.
  • Supervision of postgraduate students
  • Supervision of students’ practical work.
  • General academic administration pertaining to undergraduate students.
 
Engaged research:
  • Participation in the applicable research entity.
  • Supervision of post graduate students.
  • Pulication of scholarly articles in accredited journals.
  • General academic administration pertaining to post graduate students
  • Engaged research activities and implementation of expertise in the community.


Minimum requirements

  • Master’s degree in clinical psychology is essential.
  • Registration as a clinical psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • Three (3) years’ experience as practising clinical psychologist.
  • One (1) lecturing experience at university level will serve as recommendation.
       
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
