To also apply continuous and inventive marketing strategies on behalf of the Centre for BMI.
Job description

Marketing
·       Overall responsible for the marketing, branding, web and content management of the Centre for BMI (designing, writing and producing presentations, profiles, news announcements, website, brochures, posters, advertisements, videos, corporate gifts, NWU Open Day, Mini-Open Day, Postgraduate Open Day, presentations and speeches to prospective students and their parents
·       Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans. Market the BMI brand and make prospective students aware of the high demand for scarce skills, such as BMI, in industry.
2.      Liaison & Communication
·       Handling and managing internal & external communication in the Centre for BMI (liaising with industry, alumni, recruitment, arranging and organising industry projects, industry internship arrangements, and job opportunities for BMI students, scholarships, interviews, staff functions, industry functions, student functions, conferences, industry visits, consulting and supportive role for BMI students, social media).
·       Responsible for BMI’s communication with different target audiences, helping to build and keep a positive reputation, form new and maintain current relationships.
3.      Quality assurance
·       Fulfil an essential supporting role in quality control within the Centre for BMI (External Program Evaluation, calendar changes, program alignment, SCAS applications, curriculum control, student enrolment numbers and annual reports).
4.      Administration
·       BMI Student Administration - Responsible for all BMI Student Administration throughout the year (dealing with inquiries, registrations, program changes, class and exam schedules, class visits, class representatives, complaints, VC visits, VC accommodation, and student sessions.
·       Day to day activities comprise vital fragments of BMI’s structure, helping to manage resources and people in an efficient manner.

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
·       Web development expertise
·       Knowledge of the SCAS system, HEQSF system & EPE process.
·       NWU record management system and Varsite expertise
·       Excellent MS Office, Acrobat Reader/Writer, Adobe InDesign skills
·       Social media expertise: Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.

Minimum requirements

  •  BA degree in Communication (BA Honours degree in Communication – advantageous)
  • 5 years’ experience in marketing management, including experience in writing and producing marketing material
  • 5 years’ business communication experience, internally and externally
  • 5 years’ administration experience
