JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching:
Teaching of undergraduate students: extended programmes.
Teaching:     
Teaching of undergraduate students: Mainstream.


Minimum requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lecturer: Masters in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is essential.
  • Junior Lecturer: Honours degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is essential.
  • Post graduate diploma in education (Mathematics as a one of the major subject) is desirable.
  • One (1) years’ experience teaching undergraduate student is desirable.
  • One (1) years’ experience tutoring undergraduate students is essential.
 
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge of Latex, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Matlab.

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Trustworthiness and Ethics (Academic integrity).

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
