Job description

Responsibilities:
·        Teaching and learning to undergraduate and postgraduate students
·        Postgraduate supervision and related research
 
Minimum requirements:
·        Relevant PhD degree; and
·        2-4 years proven teaching experience in the field of Finance (Risk management); and
·        Solid research track record (peer reviewed academic articles and conference presentations) in Finance (Risk management).
 
Other competency requirements:
·        Solid Econometrics skills
·        Solid knowledge of Financial Derivative Instruments market
·        Solid knowledge of Bank Risk management
·        Solid background in Economics
·        Background in Strategy, Risk management, Ethics and Governance
·      Demonstration of language proficiency to function optimally in the multilingual environment of the NWU (Afrikaans and English)
 
Behavioural competencies:
·        Professional and ethical behaviour
·        Adaptability / Agility
 
Other Recommendations:
·        Solid private sector experience, especially in the Derivative market will be to your advantage
