PERMANENT APPOINTMENT
Purpose of the position: Perform Teaching and Learning, Research and Community Engagement within the Biokinetics professional four-year degree program at a graduate level.
Job description
Functional/Technical competencies (Knowledge and Skills):
· Expert knowledge in the Biokinetic scope of the Profession (Orthopaedic; Chronic conditions; Wellness)
· Uphold ethical and professional conduct and practice
· Great problem-solving skills
· Demonstration of language proficiency in speaking and writing
· Knowledge regarding professional supervision of Biokinetics students in training
· Computer literate (Windows MS office, Excel, email, internet, google drive) with additional knowledge regarding data basis
· High standard of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Behavioural Competencies:
· Strong personal qualities and collegial approaches that contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive academic environment
· Time management skills
· Demonstrate initiative, leadership, integrity, and organisational skills
· Excellent people and conflict resolution skills
Minimum requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor of Health Sciences in Biokinetics/Honours Biokinetics (NQF 8)
· Proof of Basic Life Support Accreditation
· HPCSA registration as independent practitioner
· 3 Years’ experience in biokinetics practice in the private or public sector (after internship)
· 2 Years’ experience in Teaching experience in higher education (teaching pre-/post graduate level in higher education)
· 2 Years’s experience in Research related activities (conducting and reporting research)
· Evidence of up to date Continuous Professional Development record)
