Job description

·        Receiving and circulation of journals
·        Journal collection maintenance
·        Journal renewals and cancellations
·        Reporting and statistics
·        Quality control
·        Processing donations
·        Bindery
·        Loose-leaf publications
 

Minimum requirements

·      B. Lib, B. Inf, or B degree plus postgraduate qualification in Library and / or Information Science
·      Library and Information Science qualification may serve as a recommendation
·      LIASA Membership
 
 
Other competency requirements:
·        1 - 2 years’ experience in periodicals in an academic library
·        Computer literacy (Ms Office, Emails and Internet)
·        Knowledge of serials module on a library management system
