Introduction
NWU BUSINESS SCHOOL VACANCY: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER PEROMNES GRADE: P10 POISTION NUMBER P002212 & M000552 (TWO POSITIONS) EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PERMANENT PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Administration of one of the business school programme initiatives within the Business School. Project administration refers to the operational and logistical administration (planning – costing, scheduling, communication, provisioning, monitoring, and reporting) of projects in accordance with project management principles and customised processes (process maps / tick-lists) to ensure project goals are achieved as per the scope (within budget, time and client satisfaction).

Minimum requirements

•              Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience or Grade 12 with 10 years’ experience in similar positions in a university environment.
•              5 years’ experience in program administration.
 
KEY FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
 
 
•              Project administration skills and ability to do the work in accordance with appropriate administrative systems, processes, and procedures of the NWU Business School.
•              Ability to do administrative and logistical planning, implementation, monitoring and quality assurance of such project-driven initiatives.
•              Contracting, liaising and general administrative and logistical support skills for and monitoring of facilitators
•              Liaising and general administrative and logistical support abilities for and monitoring of programme delegates and clients.
•              Day-to-day financial administration and reporting skills in respect of the formal Programme initiatives allocated to the incumbent.
•              The ability to coordinate all e-learning matters regarding formal Programme initiatives.
•              Records management and ongoing reporting skills regarding designated projects.
•              Willingness and ability to do ad-hoc tasks that are of an administrative and logistical nature that further supports and enables the Business School to undertake its formal Programme initiatives.
•              Note: It is important that the incumbent is an independent worker who is good at completion of tasks.

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with NWU policy guidelines.
