Job description

·         Attract and supervise MSc and PhD Students
·         Obtain research funds and manage research projects,
·         Produce high quality, accredited and peer-reviewed research outputs
·         Teach undergraduate and Honours modules in Geomorphology and related fields in Physical Geography
·         Develop new modules and adapt content of existing modules to keep up with current trends in the field
·         General administrative tasks
·         Participate in community engagement

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
·       Teach undergraduate and Honours modules in Geomorphology and/or physical geography
·       Develop new modules and adapt content of existing modules to keep up with current trends in the field
·       Attract and supervise postgraduate students
·       Obtain research funds and manage research projects
·       Produce high quality, accredited and peer-reviewed research outputs

Minimum requirements

·       PhD in Geormophology or Physical geography (or related field)
·       5 years’ experience in teaching and research in a tertiary institution
