Job description

1.    Teaching of clinical modules, facilitate student’s clinical practical Community service, veterinary clinic, Outreach
 
2.    Advanced knowledge of veterinary Pathology, toxicology, with proof publications in the areas
 
3.    Supervision of postgraduates students
 
4.    Funds applications
 
5.    Community engagement 
 
6.    Curriculum development and Administration
 

Minimum requirements

·         Grade 12 is essential
·         Veterinarian degree (BVM or equivalent) is essential
·         MSc and/or PhD will be an advantage
·         Membership with the SAVC is essential
·         3-5 years working experience in a Veterinary area is essential
·         3-5 years supervision of postgraduates is essential
 
FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS):
 
·         Proof of clinical teaching and practical, proof of supervision
·         Community service, veterinary clinic/outreach
 
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
 
·         Ability to work in a team
·         Leadership ability; Dynamic
 
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
