Manage all logistical and administrative issues regarding student transport, student placement at clinical
facilities and student attendance. Transport of students to clinical placements

KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Valid code B driver’s licence and PDP – Essential
· Computer skills (MS Office, Excel, email, internet, and programme development) – Essential
· IT systems
· Logistical management
· Experience in management of IT drivers
· Experience in the use of Excel, Word and other computer programmes
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
· Sound interpersonal and intercultural skills.
· Attention to detail and sound management of large datasets with regard to clinical placements
· Independent worker
· Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in various multilingual environments of the NWU.
Minimum requirements
· Diploma/ Certificate in computer skills is essential.
· Matric certificate is essential.
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. LOGISTICAL MANAGEMENT:
· Logistics of transport of students.
· Logistics of student placements.
Logistics of student attendance
2. ADMINISTRATION:
· Pre-negotiate for cost effective student transport
· Obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data as needed
· Co-ordinate logistics for transport scheduling and make sure that all routes/destinations are covered.
· Liaise with transport services providers for quotations
· Booking of transport as and when needed
· Liaise with Financial Officer for transport requisitions
· Compile route controls for drivers
· Administer vehicle and driver logs
· Monitor driver hours as well as accounting and control
· for transport payments
· Maintain an orderly filing system for personal files on
· all drivers
· Attend to all transport enquiries
· Regular reporting to line-managers with regard to transport issues
· Other duties as assigned
3. TRANSPORTING STUDENTS:
Transporting students to and from clinical placements
