Job description

Responsibilities:
1. Research:
  • Finding and reporting the relevant literature on the topic.
2. Laboratory liaison:
  • Locate and contact laboratories to conduct the required analyses.
3. Laboratory work:
  • Preparing samples and performing all experiments both in-house and externally.
4. Attendance of meetings:
  • Preparing and providing bi-weekly feedback sessions in-house, while giving monthly feedback sessions to Sasol on work conducted.
5. Reports:
  • Compiling quarterly reports pertaining to the work conducted.

Minimum requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • BEng/ BSc Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry (Essential).
  • 1 year laboratory experience (essential).
Functional/Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills):
  • Report writing skills.
  • Oral presentation skills.
Behavioural Competencies:
  • Interpersonal Skills
