Job description

Functional/Technical competencies (Knowledge and Skills)

  • Advanced knowledge of quantitative research methodology within one or more of the indicated fields.
  • Working knowledge of qualitative research methodology within one or more of the indicated fields.
  • Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the multilingual environment of the NWU.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work independently and participate as a team member.
  • Be open to diversity in a multicultural office.
  • Fostering an inclusive and collegial environment that encourages a high level of performance, communication and teamwork

Recommendation

  • Experience in the writing of funding application for research projects.

Minimum requirements

  • PhD in one of these fields: Pharmacy practice, Clinical pharmacy, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Epidemiology,  Health and/or Pharmacoeconomics, Clinical pharmacology, Public health / Health policy and systems or other related fields
  • 1 to 5 Years’ post-graduate experience in teaching and post-graduate assessment.
  • 5 to 10 Years’ post-graduate experience in supervision of post-graduate students on masters’ and doctoral level
