Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Teaching
  2.  Research
  3. Community engagement

Minimum requirements

  • Ph.D. Education Management & Leadership
  • Five (5) years teaching experience in the field of Higher Education
 
Associate Professor position:
  • Proven research experience as author/co-author of a minimum of three (3) research articles since 2015.
  •  Minimum of three (3) supervised completed Master’s students and Ph.D. students at least in progress.
  • Proven record of national acknowledgement and networking.
 
Professor position:
  • Proven research experience as author/co-author of a minimum of five (5) research articles since 2015.
  • Minimum of five (5) supervised completed Masters and Ph.D. students.
  • Proven record of national and international acknowledgement and networking.
 
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge of teaching in different modes of delivery.
  • Computer proficient – command of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
 
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Good interpersonal relations.
  • The ability to work with large groups of people.
  • Ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, and use of technology).
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solving, systematically, and innovative.
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure.
  • Language skills to function in the various multilingual environments of the NWU.
