Job description

Responsibilities:
Maintenance of student records:
  • Manage, coordinate, and oversee the maintenance processes of student records (UG and Hons -Contact on PC). Including the capturing and auditing of graduates.
Staff and facilities:
  • Day to day management of staff and processes within Registration & Student Records, Academic Record Inquiries and Filing section.
Yearly registration of students:
  • Plan, organise, coordinate, and oversee the yearly registration of students (online and counter registrations).
Liaising with role players:
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external role players, with regards to Registration & Student Records, Academic Record Inquiries and Filing section.
Ad hoc tasks:
  • Ad hoc tasks as instructed by Section Head / Campus Director / Chief Director / Registrar.



Minimum requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree / Advanced Diploma
  • At least three (3) years’ Administrative experience in a student record environment
  • Appropriate knowledge of NWU student systems (VSS), Structure and policies

Functional/Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills)
  • Knowledge of, and experience in a student records office in an educational environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in staff and organizational management.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Functional language proficiency to function on management level.
  • High level of computer skills.

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
