Minimum requirements
Senior Lecturer
· PhD in Learner Support or Educational Psychology or equivalent.
· Two accredited publications and successful supervision of a higher degree student or equivalent.
· Professional teacher’s qualification
Lecturer
· Master’s degree in Learner Support or Educational Psychology or equivalent.
· Professional teacher’s qualification
ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES:
· Two (2) years lecturing experience on a part-or-full time basis in a higher education institution.
· Two (2) years delivering Learner Support services.
· SACE membership.
· Experience of Efundi.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Knowledge of teaching in different modes of delivery.
· Computer proficient – command of Word, Power point and Excel.
· Language proficiency to function in a multilingual environment.
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
· Good interpersonal relations.
· The ability to work with large groups of people.
· Ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines.
· Good communication skills (verbal, written and use of technology).
· Ability to work independent, be a problem solver, systematically and innovative.
· Ability to function effectively under pressure.
· Language skills to function in the various multilingual environments of the NWU.
