JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching and learning

Minimum requirements
- Master’s degree with specialisation in Physical Sciences (Physics/Chemistry) and initial teachers’ qualification with Physical Sciences
- Four (4) years teaching experience at secondary school level, teaching Physical Science and/or Natural Sciences
RECOMMENDED COMPETENCIES:
- Two (2) years teaching experience at tertiary level
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Fundamental Knowledge of Physical Sciences concepts to teach Physics, Chemistry, and Natural Sciences content modules for undergraduate B.Ed and Hons students;
- Knowledge of dynamic teaching-learning technologies
- Good computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Use of blended learning environments, e.g. Internet and email
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good planning skills
· Ability to function in the multi-lingual and multi-cultural NWU work environment
