Job description

1. Teaching & learning
Teaching and learning processes for the distance as well as the on-campus mode of delivery

2. Research
Completion of MEd 
 
3. Community Engagement
Engage in community outreach/implementation of expertise

4. Administration
Performing general administration tasks at programme and module level
.

Minimum requirements

• BEd Honours Economics Education and Business Studies in Education is essential
• Bcom Hons Economics & PGCE or any other relevant education qualification is essential 
• Accreditations with any other Education related professional bodies is desirable

EXPERIENCE:

• 2–5-year experience in development of teaching and learning material within the Economics Education and Business studies in Higher institution of learning or Higher School environment
FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS):

• Undertake undergraduate teaching and learning
• Experience in teaching and learning material development
• Experience in designing quality assessment 
• Scholarly knowledge in Economics and Business Studies Education 
• In possession of subject specific methodology of teaching and learning

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

• Teamwork as well as the ability to work independently

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
