Minimum requirements
Qualification
· Master’s degree in education (Med) with a specialisation in Economics and Business Studies.
· Education-related membership.
Experience/s
· 3-5 years experience in teaching and learning accounting in education in the higher education learning environment.
· Experience in designing teaching, learning, and learning material
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning.
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective time-managing skills.
· Good coping skills to work under pressure.
· Computer literacy (MS office, knowledgeable about cloud storage).
· Experience in teaching and learning material development.
· Ability to teach large classes in both the distance and on-campus mode.
· Conducting research.
· Competent in a variety of teaching, learning, and assessment methodologies.
· Ability to use modern platforms (e.g. online interactive whiteboards, eFundi, e-learning, etc.).
· Ability to partake in the supervision of postgraduate students.
· Commitment towards furthering own scholarship e.g. publishing articles, conference outputs, furthering own qualifications.
· Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU.
