Job description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· 3-year degree in any relevant fields within Education is essential.
· Honours degree in Instructional Design in Learning, Design and Technology will serve as a recommendation
EXPERIENCE:
· Demonstrable experience as a Learning Designer, Instructional Designer, or Curriculum Developer.
· Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
· Strong familiarity with T&L Technologies available to use T&L.
· Experience seeing Learning Design projects through the full life cycle.
· Proven ability to complete Learning Design projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline to satisfy learning needs of students.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Demonstrable experience as a Learning Designer, Instructional Designer, or Curriculum Developer.
· Solid knowledge of contemporary educational strategies.
· Good knowledge of and ability to investigate the educational application of technology.
· Proficiency in at least two official languages.
· Knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education teaching and learning environment
· Knowledge of digital assessments and the skills to facilitate Technology-enhanced learning on meso - and
· micro level.
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
· Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, organisational and communicative skills.
· A commitment to teamwork and ability to work on own.
· Proactive, organised and priority driven.
· Proven ability and enthusiasm for working with a diverse range of stakeholders (internal and external).
· Ability to work constructively with peers and colleagues elsewhere at NWU and within the Higher Education environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Learning design in an online environment to enhance the teaching experience of lecturers as well as the learning experience of students.
2. Systems administration and support.

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
