Furthermore, to contribute to research and scholarship in the ECDE field at postgraduate level.

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Minimum requirements

·       Professional Teacher’s Qualification in Foundation Phase or equivalent, and an Honours degree in ECDE or equivalent.
·       Three (3) years experience in teaching in an ECDE environment.
 
ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES:
·       SACE registration.
·       Two (2) years experience in higher education lecturing on a full- or part-time basis.
 
 
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
·       Knowledge of teaching in different modes of delivery, including using online platforms in a hybrid teaching.
·       environment.
·       Language proficiency to function in a multilingual environment.
·       Knowledge and skills in training pre-service teachers to teach in multilingual environments.
·       Computer proficiency – command of Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. Experience with eFundi will be beneficial.

·       Good interpersonal relations.
·       The ability to work with large and diverse groups of people.
·       Ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines.
·       Good communication skills (verbal, written, and use of technology).
·       Language skills in order to function in the various multilingual environments of the NWU.
·       Ability to work independently, systematically, and innovatively.
·       Ability to function effectively under pressure.
·       Ability to solve challenges critically and creatively.
