Coordinate the daily functions, processes, and staff at the NWU Application and Admission Office as well as monitoring the progress and effectiveness of work processes within the department.
Job description
1. Processes and daily functions within the department:
- Coordinate and monitor the processes and daily functions within the department. Coordinate and monitor all processes within the application and admission environment, according to requirements.
2. Staff management within the department:
- Monitoring and coordinating of attendance register, leave and daily coordination of staff within the department in conjunction with the line manager.
- Management of staff performance and upkeep of training plan of current and new staff within the department.
3. System problems and needs:
- Coordinate, report and follow up of all aspects regarding VSS and other systems within the environment and coordinate reporting and follow up of all aspects regarding systems within the department.
4. Evaluation of applications:
- Evaluating applications and admissions of relevant faculties when needed.
- Knowledge of applicable rules, policies, and applicable statutory requirements pertinent to the application and admission process of the NWU.
5. Liaison with other departments and role players
- Liaison with staff within divisions relevant to admissions and applications environment, such as Marketing and Student Recruitment, SAS, Faculty Administrators – in order to ensure compliance within process of evaluation and admission
6. Ad hoc tasks:
- When requested by management of the division.
Minimum requirements
- Diploma/Advance Certificate
- Two (2) years’ experience in university administration.
- Appropriate knowledge of NWU systems
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
