Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsibility for meeting administration and documentation
· Record keeping of research outputs and interpretation of research statistics
· Preparation and organisation of all entity meetings, workshops, colloquiums, discourses, article retreats, strategic planning sessions and end year functions
· Support in terms of quality assurance and record keeping
· Assist in compiling annual research report of the entity
· Conference and seminar organisation
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.

Minimum requirements
· Diploma or related qualification in management / people management / administration.
· Experience in (Office) Administration and management
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Proven operational knowledge of the management and operations in an office, preferably at a Higher education level.
· Excellent writing and oral communication skills at acceptable standard to function effectively within Higher Education institution
· Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU
· Must be able to type documentation, e.g. minutes, agendas, letters correctly and at acceptable speed.
· Knowledge of basic principles for providing efficient student and customer service.
· Experience and knowledge of meetings administration
· Strong problem solving, analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team, function effectively under pressure
· Good interpersonal relations and positive client-service orientation
· Be able to work under pressure with strict timelines
